Potassium Metabisulfite is a common additive used to steady wines, ciders, and occasionally beers. Protects both the color and delicate flavors of wine. As a cleaner rinse - use 2 oz per 1 gallon of water. As an additive - use 1/4 teaspoon to 6 gallons. Dissolve in warm water before adding.
Potassium Metabisulfite may also be used as a sanitizer to prepare equipment needed to make wine. It is very simple, just add 2 oz to 1 gallon of water.
