What Size Cork or Cap Do I Need?

Looking for the size of cork or cap you need for a specific bottle. Find it here!

Wine Bottles

The size of cork you use depends on the corker you are using. Most of the bottles have the same size opening, it's more about the amount of pressure you are able to apply, which largely depends on what corker you are using. Even if you are very strong, most people cannot generate enough pressure with something like a plastic plunger corker to use a #9 cork.

Here are our recommendations:

#9 Corks

-For use with the Portuguese Floor Corker & Italian Floor Corker

Nomacorcs (we only have #9)

-For use with the Portuguese Floor Corker & Italian Floor Corker

#8 Corks

For use with Single and Double Lever Hand Corkers

#7 Corks

For use with Plastic Plunger

28mm Metal or Poly Seal Screw Caps

-For use with screw top wine bottles

Beer Bottles

12 and 22 ounce beer bottles will use Crown Caps. All the crown caps are the same size.

The only beer bottle that cannot use crown caps is the Belgian Beer bottles, which need to be corked using their own special Belgian Beer Cork.
