Home Brew Ohio is proud to announce that we are now carrying Lallemand Wildbrew Helveticus Pitch.

Wildbrew Helveticus Pitch is a high-performance, high-purity lactic acid bacteria specifically selected for it's ability to produce a wild range of sour beer styles. It produces an intense and sharp citrus flavor profile typical of both traditional and modern sour beer styles. When inoculated at optimal temperature and the right conditions, it is a powerful, safe and easy way to handle bacteria for various beer souring techniques, such as a typical kettle souring process. Styles brewed with this bacteria include, but are not limited to, Berliner Weisse, Gose, Iambic-style, American Wild, and Sour IPA.

Brewing Properties of this yeast include:

-A quick pH drop that can typically be completed within 24-36 hours

-A tangy citrus aroma and flavor, with a hint of fruit

-100-113 degrees Fahrenheit optimal temperature range when making sour beer styles

Innoculation 10g/L pH >3.4 

Shelf Life

Store up to 18 months at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or 36 months at 0 degrees Fahrenheit. It is recommended to use the entire sachet of Wildbrew Helveticus Pitch after opening, but extended storage is possible under specific conditions.
